Do real psychics and mediums exist or do people just claim they are one of the two to exploit the gullible?
I’d love to see a psychic or medium myself out of pure curiosity but I don’t have much money right now.
I am a skeptic by nature but part of me wonders if some people really can talk to the dead – if there is an afterlife, that is.

I don’t necessarily think every ‘psychic’ is out there to scam people, but I do think that it’s not real. I think there are people who really do believe they have a sixth sense or powers, but that doesn’t make it true.

I think that the ones that want to be paid are fake. They are really good at picking up body language. They also ask questions that are almost always capable of happening. An example is: You’ve had some bad experiences. Then the person will feel trusting and start blabbing their mouth. They have sneaky ways of getting it out of you.
I’m not saying there aren’t any at all because I had an aunt that was psychic. She died a long time ago however and my family (including me) have been pretty good at feeling when something is going to happen or be said.

What is your thought on all these paranormal investigator shows?
I absolutely love these types of shows. I have been interested in the paranormal since…forever. What is your favorite paranormal show? Do you think they are real? What do you think when the incorporate a psychic/medium to help? I am just wondering what others think, and if anyone has ever been on an investigation?

My thought “For Entertainment Purposes Only”
My favorite “Fact or Faked”
Do I think they are real? For the most part no.
I think it makes the shows faker and hokier when they incorporate psychic/mediums.

I think they’re fantastic in that, at least for Ghost Hunters, there’s a sense of “realism” (not polished production).
I think shows like that generally appeal to the fascination with the unknown, and the deep seated desire to want there to be something we don’t already know.
That being said, I watch for entertainment value and don’t believe in ghosts.
